Jose’s (Jolo) practice areas include corporate services, litigation & arbitration, labor, mergers & acquisitions, and tax and customs.

Jolo’s work experience pre-dates his joining the firm in 2023. From 2017 to 2018, Jolo worked as a Tax Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Philippines, Isla Lipana & Company wherein he handled engagements relating to Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) registrations and incentives, various tax assessments, and other tax-related matters.

While in law school, Jolo served as the 2021 Subject Chairperson for Taxation Law for the RGCT – San Beda University Bar Operations. He also served as the Associate Editor for the 57^th and 58^th Volumes of the San Beda Law Journal.

Qualifications

• San Beda University, Juris Doctor (Class of 2022, ranked 5th in graduating class)
• De La Salle University, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (Class of 2017)
• Certified Public Accountant since 2017.
• Admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2023.

Experience

Jolo has participated in several matters.  His experience has included:

• Assisting in domestic arbitration cases.
• Assisting in civil, criminal, labor and administrative cases before various Philippine courts and quasi-judicial bodies.
• Assisting with contract drafting for various corporate and commercial transactions.
• Conducting due diligence involving corporate acquisitions.
• Assisting in general corporate housekeeping of various companies; and
• Assisting on tax and labor advisory matters.
